Why see Shrek?

Tulsa favorite Lloyd Holt returns!

Your favorite grumpy green ogre is about to burst onto the Tulsa stage this summer, as Broadway smash-hit Shrek The Musical is staged by Tulsa Theater Project in a special local production! Starring local star Lloyd Holt reprising his role as the unlikely and reluctant hero, we follow his journey to regain his home from a pesky host of fairytale characters, and rescuing a fiesty princess in the process! But can he do it all alone, or with the help of his friend, the motormouth Donkey....

Co-starring Liz Hunt as the no-nonsense Princess Fiona, the unlikely trio must thwart the plans of the dimunitive villian Lord Farquaad (gamely played by Sean Patrick Rooney on his knees throughout) as he aims his sights on the crown of Duloc, and banishing all fairy-tale creatures forever!

Based on the award-winning Broadway musical, this production features all the best-loved tunes of the original, including "What's up Duloc?", "Who I'd Be", and of course the rousing "I'm A Believer", with live music provided by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra. Part of the Summerstage Tulsa 2016 festival, this is one treat for the family that shouldn't be missed.
